Why Love America? Here we are, Fourth of July weekend 2010, another year older, the birthday of our country. Like any annual birthday celebration, we join with special loved ones to share laughter and smiles. This is a magical gift, a truly unique life. How do you express gratitude and appreciation for the irreplaceable person of mother, daughter, father, or friend? What thoughtful gift do you joyfully wrap and bring to the party? The American Birthday is no different. A day set apart for you and me, to reflect and respect the gracious privilege to have experienced another year with her - The United States of America. Faithful to needs, desires, and dreams. What tangible offering have you brought her? How much time did you take to find that special something which clearly reflects your deepest appreciation to know her? Are you a better person for having met her? Is she better for having met you? America is beautiful because she gives me the opportunity to be the best person I was created to be. Under God, in the Land of the Free, one nation, one family, committed to lead. Together I trust we can still pray enthusiastically for these. Some would say they never truly appreciated something until it was gone. You may have felt the same when someone you loved passed from this life to the next. What more could you have done or said? America is a one-of-a-kind treasure, to be cherished, protected, respected and adored. This country is too brilliant and beautiful for anyone to ignore. She is a star for all to see, from sea to shinning sea. This July 4th birthday, let's not take her for granted. Let's think of the gift we are bringing to her, to help her become the best she was created by our founding fathers to be. This fourth of July, remember the many who came to live free or die for her. Those who gave up anything, to make sure you had everything. Love is an action word worthy of your effort. America the beautiful, dressed in dazzling red, white, and blue. Help me firmly protect, the lives still yet, who dream to express, "America the Beautiful - I too, love you." Happy Birthday America!
