| At some point, did you pay others to watch your children while you worked at home? |
| Based on our panel’s comments, it is obvious that close family plays a significant role in helping a mom entrepreneur get her business off the ground. |

I haven’t had to do that, yet. I will eventually, as my business keeps growing. My husband did have the chance to stay home this past summer and help me with the children while I worked. The money I bring in from my business is enough to pay all of our family bills. He loved being able to take a long vacation from a J-O-B. He has always supported me and our family, so it was nice to be able to give him a break. During his break, he was able to start his own business.

I have been fortunate to have family close by who can help me with childcare while I work from home or have shows/appointments outside my home. My husband is also supportive that way, and has taken time off work on occasion when I’m working at an event.

Fortunately, there are times when family will help watch him so I am able to get out in the community and talk to people, put up flyers, etc. I have not had to pay for any daycare since I started staying home, although if I did, I could deduct it on my taxes, which is good.
