Merit based scholarships and grants known as Early High School Graduation Scholarship are awarded by numerous sources for those who complete their 9th to 12th grade within 36 months.

Training Vouchers for Youth Aging Out of Foster Care is a grant of up to $5,000 which is awarded to foster children between the ages of 16 to 23 who will be leaving the custody of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, to assist them to follow a two or four year program in a public or private college in Texas.

Students who do not hold a degree of any kind and are enrolling into a public two year college in Texas are eligible to apply for the Texas Educational Opportunity Grant Program the value of which will equal tuition and fees applicable annually by the state of Texas.

Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG) Program award grants up to $3444 for a varied number undergraduate students attending Texas College.

Apart from these grants, Texas College Grants in the form of scholarships are awarded by businesses and individuals as well as religious organizations such as Catholics, Christians, Jewish or Islam and grants based on ethnicity are awarded by African-American and Hispanics affinities that represent a high percentage of residents in Texas.
