1. What is your definition of eating healthy?
Healthy eating is a combination of healthy and tasty foods using whole ingredients like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low fat dairy, nuts and seeds, legumes, lean meats, seafood, and healthy fats.  We believe that you can eat everything, in moderation.
2. What is the best diet plan for losing baby weight if you are still breastfeeding?
It's important to follow a well-balanced diet while breastfeeding and not cut back on calories too much. If the mother does not get sufficient calories, the quality of the milk remains the same but the quantity can be drastically reduced. The weight will come off if you follow a healthy diet and exercise. Many moms will see times where the weight loss will plateau and they get frustrated. The key is to remember that it took nine months to put on the weight and it will take some time to get it off.
3. How can people stick to a healthy eating plan and lifestyle? What are some of the challenges to expect?
There are many challenges in today's society for those who wish to eat healthy. Some challanges include:
1) Fast food joints around every corner: When you are very hungry, you make choices that you may regret. Pre-plan your meals and carry around snacks such as trail mix, bars and fruit to avoid those drive-thrus.

2) No time: We're all in a rush, but pre-cooking large batches of soups and meals (store half in the freezer) can come in handy for mid-week meals.
3) Holidays: When the holidays arrive, many folks throw their healthy eating regimen out the window. Always try and eat something small before heading to an event so you don't overindulge in everything being served.
4. How can I get my child to stop eating junk food?
Simply don't buy it! Children eat what they are served and if the junk is not visible in the house they won't eat it. Wash fresh fruit and keep it in a bowl visible on the countertop or slice veggies and serve alongside dip (kids love to dip). Here's our list of some concerns parents may have and how to overcome them:

5. How does nutrition affect fitness?
Eating healthy and exercising go hand in hand. It's silly to think that you worked out for one hour and then "reward" yourself with an ice cream sundae. It doesn't work that way. Besides exercising to help with weight loss, it helps with your overall heart and lung health and helps relieve stress.
6. How would you sum up your nutrition philosophy?
At Healthyeats.com we believe in a blend of tasty and healthy food. We encourage people to create delicious dishes while gaining a better understanding of what food is and where it comes from.
7. Is it bad to have the occasional sugar rush? Why?
Eating sugar is not a "bad" thing unless you overdo it. It's not a problem when you do it once in a while. It is when it becomes a habit and sugary foods like candy, soda and cakes replace healthier options like fruits, vegetables and whole grains. This is when you'll see weight gain starting and perhaps even health concerns like diabetes or high cholesterol start to show up.
