What is grief and how do people deal with it? It involves a process that included depression. Depression not only affects the person who is going through it, but also everyone around them, including friends, family, loved ones, spouses, and children.

What is grief?
Have you ever lost any of your loved ones' or have you ever felt sad for something like failing an exam' losing possessions' status' trust or a job or so? You sure might have experienced at least one of these situations' and you definitely might have felt sad and worried because of it. So' what do these examples have to do with the topic in concern here? Well' the answer is simple. All these are clear examples of grief.

So you might want to know' what exactly the definition of grief is. Grief can be defined as the sadness or sorrow for the loss of something or someone. An expanded definition of grief that is generally used is as follows: “Grief is the psychological' behavioral' social and physical reactions to loss of something or somebody that is closely tied to a person's character or identity.” This article aims to therefore aim to explain what grief is' and other grief-related information.

Many seem to question' what grief is and how it feels like. As said earlier' grief is the sorrow caused by a change or loss of something or somebody' and some very good examples of what causes grief would be facts such as a death of a loved one' injury or sickness (usually ones which cannot be cured or deadly like Cancer and AIDS)' divorce or separation' loss of belongings' status' job or employment and even the loss of one’s loving pet.

So how does it actually feel like and what changes would you see in one who is grieving? Well' if there is a loss' it would take a long time for the victim to get over it. However' this would depend on the type of individual. Some might recover fast' whereas others might take a considerably longer time. Whatever it is' most victims would eventually get over it or get used to live without the person or object that they have lost' which means it’s only a matter of time that would help a man/woman get over his/ her grief.

The best way to help such a victim (who is grieving) is to help him/her get over it by way of listening to what he/ she has to say' so that they could express their feelings openly and free their minds' stay with the victim at all times and provide company' and/ or help him/her physically or practically (i.e. help the victim to do his/her work' help them cook and/ or clean their rooms). Helping a friend or loved one get over the grief would be the greatest thing that one could do.
