Best Dentist Denver - An interview with Dr. Rebecca Huser
Q. Tell us about yourself and your practice.
A. I am originally from the Chicago area, yet moved to Denver, CO in 2006. My husband and I were drawn to the great weather and the beautiful mountains of Colorado. I have been practicing dentistry for 8 years and have owned my current office since late 2007. I have a small office in Southeast Denver. My priorities are my patients' dental health and comfort in the office. I focus on prevention and early detection of any disease.
Q. Please explain the main services you offer.
A. I offer general dentistry for the entire family. I encourage regular checkups so we can stay on top of the whole family's dental health. I place only tooth colored fillings in our office, so we are mercury free. We can also provide crowns, bridges, dentures, partial dentures, teeth whitening, some root canals and extractions.
Q. What types of Insurance do you accept?
A. We accept most dental insurances. We just do not take HMO plans. We are preferred providers for Delta, Metlife, Humana, Cigna, Blue Cross, Guardian, Dentemax, and Aetna.
Q. What payment options do you offer?
A.Our payment options include check, credit card, cash or CareCredit.
Q. Do you offer cosmetic dental services? If so, what type?
A. We offer teeth whitening, cosmetic fillings and crowns, and veneers
Q. What are porcelain veneers and how can they improve a person's smile?
A.Veneers are thin custom-made shells of porcelain designed to cover the front side of teeth. They can correct stains, gaps or just the shape of the tooth.
Q. What are the benefits of crown and bridge treatment?
A. Crowns become necessary when a tooth is broken down from decay or fracture and the tooth is in need of structural support. A bridge is one of the options to replace a missing tooth. Bridges can restore function in your mouth as well as provide aesthetic benefits.
Q.What are Dental Implants?
A. Dental implants are today's choice for replacing missing teeth. An implant is an artificial root that is placed in the bone which can have a crown, bridge or denture attached to it. It offers a durable and stable solution for replacing teeth. Your dentist can determine if it is right for you.
Q. How often one should brush and floss?
A. It is recommended that you brush your teeth 2-3 times a day... after meals. You should be using a soft bristled toothbrush and also be flossing once a day to get to the areas your brush can't reach.
Q. How often one should have dental exam and clean?
A. We recommend that one should have a dental cleaning and checkup every six months. We recommend xrays once a year. This is for the average person. Your dentist can determine if you need more regular cleanings due to gum disease or other condition.
