A. With nearly 30 years experience in the world of dentistry, I and my professional staff are dedicated to improving the quality of your life with the latest and safest innovations in dental care. At Barotz Dental, our goal is to ensure that your visit with us is efficient and comfortable. I am a 1980 graduate of Georgetown University School of Dentistry and has dedicated my life to provide you with the best that dentistry has to offer. I am continually educating myself and my staff with the newest dental techniques and approaches, in order to provide you with Total Dental Solutions in an advanced, state of the art, comfortable, personalized, and antiseptic dental care. I have been published and I lecture internationally on numerous subjects relating to excellence in dentistry.
Q. Please explain the basic services you offer.
A. We at Barotz Dental pride ourselves in offering Total Dental Solutions to solve all adult dental needs. I can solve from the simplest dental concern to the most complex reconstruction without referring a patient from office to office.
Q. What types of Insurance do you accept?
A. We are happy to process all major insurances for our patients to facilitate quick reimbursement to them from the insurance company.
Q. What type of cosmetic dental services do you offer?
A. I am a pioneer in cosmetic dentistry. I have been doing porcelain veneers for as long as any other dentist in the world. I view a smile as a work of art, paying particular attention to gums and teeth. If the gums are a concern, they can be lifted or grafted to correct gum line.
I pride myself in giving patients the opportunity to preview the results of our cosmetic dentistry using computer imaging as well as prototype restorations for patient approval, so patient can know and approve what the final results will look like before treatment is complete.
I put the same level of excellence and pride into fabricating what I call, "Drop Dead Gorgeous Dentures". The denture teeth are set with the patient present, so once again, they can preview the final result before the final fabrication. If patient’s teeth are crooked, Invisalign is a wonderful way of straightening them quickly and without the inconvenience and unsightliness of metal braces.
Q. What are porcelain veneers and how can they improve a person’s smile?
A. Porcelain Veneers are thin custom baked wafers of porcelain bonded directly to the teeth which require only a tiny fraction of the tooth removal compared to crowns. The shape, color, alignment of the teeth can be modified without the need for braces. The results can provide a Hollywood smile a patient can be proud of.
Q. What can a person do about stained or discolored teeth?
A. Stained colored teeth can be lightened with extreme bleaching or veneers in more severe cases.
Q. What are implants made of?
A. Implants are small titanium cylinders which the bone bonds directly to.
Q. How much do implants cost?
A. Cost can vary; but range from $4,000 up the price of a new luxury car.
Q. How will a person benefit from dental implants?
A. Person without teeth can have teeth again. Their self esteem can be regained and will skyrocket. Loose dentures can be secured and the patient is not embarrassed by sloppy, unsightly and poor fitting dentures or gaps in their smile caused by missing teeth.
