What would the world be if we didn’t have dads? There won’t be anyone to reassure us and hold us when things go wrong nor would there be anyone for the sons to go for the games with or to show off the daughter in pride.
Fathers, dads, daddies play a very important role in the lives of children big and old! That is why celebration of Father’s Day is important! It was celebrated in the early twentieth century to complement Mother’s Day. The very first Father’s Day, in the United States is said to have been celebrated in July 5th 1908 in Fairmont West Virginia as a church service.
Now it has become celebration in all households where children are encouraged to show dad some extra special love on the day that is all about celebrating fatherhood. |
