| Colorado is a state which is situated in the Rocky Mountain region of the US. It could also be considered as a part of the South-western and the western parts of the country. Colorado was officially recognized as a state in 1976 and was given the nickname 'Centennial State'. Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma, Kansas, Utah and Nebraska all border Colorado. The state is more popular for its amazing scenery of rivers, mountains and plains. The population of the state was said to be nearly 5 million last year, which was a 14% jump when compared to the census in 2000. The capital of Colorado is Denver, which is also the most populated city in the state. The people of Colorado are well known as 'Coloradans,' though the older term, 'Coloradoan,' is still in use. The Denver financial district, which runs along the 17th Street, is popularly known as the 'Wall Street of the West'! |

Lory State Park encompasses 2,500 acres immediately west of Horsetooth Reservoir and north of Horsetooth Mountain Park. The exception to this is the six backcountry sites that lie along the Timber Trail on the western side of the park. Backpacking in this area is promoted by park authorities.

Living in Colorado, Express your views about living in Colorado
Colorado has a place for everyone depending on what your priority is. Most people move there for the beautiful skies, friendly people and the outdoor life it offers.
