Porcelain veneers are thin layers of porcelain inserted onto the front of the teeth to deal with dental cosmetic issues. These Chicago veneers are also known as instant orthodontics veneers. Veneers can prove to be extremely useful in resisting stains in order to help maintain a white smile for years to come.
In order to remove unsightly blemishes with porcelain veneers you have to make quite a few visits to the dentist. During the first visit, the dentist will examine the teeth. He or she will then discuss various options with you and will ask you about your expectations. The dentist will then get an impression of your teeth and send it to the dental lab, where the veneers will be made to instructions.
The lab will make a wax model known as a 'wax up.' This wax up will help give you an idea about what your smile should look like. Both you and your dentist can have a look at it and can then approve it or send it back for some changes. Once you have approved it, the lab will make the final set. The lab will take anywhere between three to four weeks to make the final set.
While you are waiting to get the veneers, the dentist will provide you with a temporary set to wear. In order to get them made, the dentist will then make another impression of the teeth and get the temporary set made. Once this is done, the dentist will grind the teeth. Grinding the teeth will help shape the teeth so that the veneers fit properly onto the teeth. Unless the grinding is done, the veneers might look a bit artificial. Also the adhesive has a tendency to stick better on rough surfaces.
Once the dental lab finishes preparing the actual veneers, the dentist will remove the temporary set and then stick on the final veneers. After a few days, the position of the veneers may have to be modified in order to make it fit better. This is not something that you have to be worried about.
With porcelain veneers you can get rid of the blemishes that prevented you from smiling to your heart's content. Since porcelain veneers are so fine, no one will even notice that there is something stuck on your teeth. In fact everyone will be more taken away by the fact that your smile is near perfection! |
