| Chicago Lumineers take cosmetic dentistry to a new level excellence |
If you have always dreamt of having that Hollywood smile, you would have surely considered having veneers applied at some point in your life. However, the pain that is commonly associated with the application of veneers may have dissuaded you from it. However, Chicago lumineers have made their entrance as a pain - free alternative to veneers.
Lumineers are basically porcelain coverings which are made from patented porcelain called Cerinate. Unlike porcelain veneers, where a grinding of the enamel is required to fit it, the ultra - thin Chicago lumineers can be applied on your teeth without any shaving or grinding of the teeth. On top of this, during application there is no need for anesthesia too!
Porcelain veneers, also known as 'dental porcelain laminates,' are wafer-thin shells which are bonded to your teeth. Most traditional veneers will require a shaving of a layer of enamel from your teeth so that the veneer will fit properly to your teeth. They are custom - shaped and permanent and will require at least 0.5mm of the original tooth to be shaved off in order to fit the veneer.
However, lumineer laminates are much thinner (at exactly 0.2 mm) and are about as thick as contact lenses. No alterations have to be made to the original structure of the tooth. Lumineers can also be removed if needs be. It is also well known that lumineers are resistant to micro - leakage and micro - cracking to a larger extent than traditional porcelain veneers. Unlike porcelain veneers, you won't have to wear any temporary veneers till you get your lumineers. Lumineers last for as long as normal porcelain veneers do and generally have a lesser impact on your finances.
In addition to being manufactured from porous, thin porcelain, both lumineers and traditional veneers provide you with a permanent solution for whitening of the teeth without getting discolored or stained. Both of these products can lengthen, strengthen and shape your teeth. They can be utilized to repair minor imperfections in the tooth. Lumineers are a more natural, stain - proof and stronger alternative. The application of lumineers is pain - free, fast and, in a majority of cases, more affordable too.
Lumineers can serve as a solution which is more comfortable and of course much closer to perfection for those who want to achieve a perfect smile. |
