“District 9” is one of the best movies currently shown in Charlotte cinemas. What they call District 9 is a filthy refugee camp where the aliens stay. The setting is just outside of Johannesburg, South Africa. It is one of the best movies I have seen in years and will be waiting for a sequel. Fans can have hopes since the movie ends with a promise to be back in three years. The movie had hit number one at the Box Office after topping a big $37 million.
If anyone in the mood for some horror, “Sorority Row” is the ideal movie. It has similarities with “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” since the killer waits eight months to take his revenge after the first murder. In this movie the girls decide to play a prank on a guy which leads to an unexpected tragedy.
