An Internet Business just like any other business requires proper marketing. Although many people believe that for marketing a considerable amount of an investment is needed, this may not be entirely true.
Why? Because they say the best and effective method of marketing is by word of mouth and this is where a business card can play an active part.
Because a business card is designed to be small with enough information for a customer or client to know about your business and how to find information and contact details of the company it is a great tool to promote your business at unexpected situations.
Imagine going to a dinner and a friends place and meeting a potential client. You can tell them what your business is about and what services you provide but chances are at the end of the night your potential customer might not remember the details the next morning. But if you had the chance of slipping a business card in the conversation your customer would have a way of getting back to you or finding further information about you on your website.
Now if you think, yes this is possible on a normal scenario because a business card is something I can carry with me, but what happens when I want to pass on a message or I need to give details of a customer I might meet on the Internet and I need to leave my information for them to find me – what then?
You can do the same – that is you can still use a business card for that. Only difference will be that this time instead of using a paper card you can actually use an electronic or online business card. This would also in appearance look the same and give similar results as paper business cards.
For an Internet Business a business card is useful just like for any other business as at the end it all comes down to marketing your products or services. You may meet your potential buyers on the Internet or at the next dinner party, but the fact remains the same that wherever it may be if you don’t have a business card at hand, be it paper based or electronic, you will miss a great opportunity of marketing your business.
