Methods of teeth whitening - Start your own business
The teeth whitening business will provide a service to all who want to have a white smile. Not only is teeth whitening effective' it can completely change your outward appearance and improve your self-esteem. This method is considered part of cosmetic dentistry.

Teeth are whitened by the peroxide ingredient in the whitening products you use' which bleaches the enamel. The strength of the whitening depends on the peroxide content in the products. There are several methods of teeth whitening with some methods being less effective than others.

• In-Office Bleaching: In-office teeth whitening is an excellent option which gives quick results at a high price. This procedure is carried out in the dentist’s office and usually takes a little over an hour to administer. However' unless you are a dentist' it will not be possible for you to start a similar business as relevant licensing is a prerequisite.

• Teeth Whitening Trays and Gels: This procedure though effective' takes more time than in-office bleaching. Clear trays used for this procedure are expected to be worn for a few hours' and even for a day or overnight. Depending on the strength of the peroxide in the gel' it could take three days to several weeks before results are seen. Even among the teeth whitening trays and gels' there are two types. One is purchased from the dentist and the other is available over the counter. While both these products serve the same purpose' a definite difference has been observed from what is purchased from the dentist. It generates faster results as it has a stronger peroxide bleaching agent than the whitening kits purchased over the counter. Further' the trays and gels purchased from a dentist are custom-made to fit your teeth' whereas the trays that are available over the counter are generic. This is an excellent business if you are a dentist. If not' you can buy a franchise or a dealership of teeth whitening products.

• Teeth Whitening Strips are available in every drug store across the nation' as well as dollar stores. They are inexpensive' easy to use and are considerably effective. The process may take a longer time period to produce results' depending on the strength of the peroxide. A distributorship of strips is also a good teeth whitening business with small margins. However' to achieve high turnover you have to be able to have a bigger network of dealers.

• Teeth Whitening Toothpastes: They contain mild abrasives to remove surface strains. Some whitening toothpastes have additional chemicals and polishing agents. This may not be the best business idea. Most people buy toothpaste for the purpose it is meant for' and not for whitening the teeth.

• Other Teeth Whitening Products: There are new products coming into the market including dental floss' whitening chewing gum and mouth washes. It will however' take time to prove its effectiveness.

Teeth whitening has become a million dollar business. Your business can consist of either one method or a combination of methods to help the public.
