It is somewhat difficult to generalize whether or not Hotel Franchise Opportunities would be good for your family as it would be dependent on several factors.

For any business to succeed the encouragement and support you receive from your family is very important. Management of a hotel means long hours and one hundred percent commitment. At least until you build up the Hotel there will be many sacrifices that would have to be made including the time you may not get to spend with your family. Will your family be able to handle all that and will they be supportive enough to let you do what is best for the business. If your family is not supportive then it is not even worth going any further.

The financial capacity of your family entering into a Hotel Franchise can be pricy. Do you and your family have the financial capability to make that commitment and will your family be supportive of the commitment you have made. Once again this too is a deciding factor. If you do not have the financial capacity to run a hotel effectively and be able to withstand any losses that could happen' you need to think twice before embarking on this venture. No business has a hundred percent success story – some win and some lose. Sometimes you lose early and win later. During that early period' when you have yet not started to reap the harvest' you need to be able to withstand the losses you will have to face before you start making profits. If as a family you won’t be able to stand together during such crisis situations' you will certainly not be able to handle all the other stress related issues that will come your way.

How interested is your family in the management of a hotel? Will they be as passionate as you are? This is important - even if they are not passionate they must enjoy operating a Hotel Franchise. If the whole family enjoys it then it would be a joint effort than a single effort. There may be areas your family has specialized in and would be able to put those resources to help in the management of the hotel.

You have to weigh the pros and cons and see what is best for your family because what is good for the goose may not be good for the gander as the saying goes.
