A franchise is a business which is already established in the market and has made a name for itself and is willing to allow other businesses to enter into a contract to run an establishment servicing the same products with the same name' for a fee' according to the stipulated rules and regulations and usually with the franchisor’s guidance.

In general' one would assume that cruise planning is good for stay at home moms and to make you comfortable in your decision it’s best to find answers for the following questions as the decision of working from home would be based on the answers you receive.

• Do you have previous experience in planning cruises and how well do you know this industry? It is vital to be thorough on the industry as it will otherwise expose you to costly mistakes.

• If you have no experience' would you be provided with training and in exchange are you expected to sign any form of commitment?

• Would you be provided in soft ware training that you are expected to use?

• How well do you know the organization that you represent? Is the franchise holding organization well established and how good is their credibility as it will reflect your own credibility?

• Will the franchise holder be responsible for local marketing or will that be your responsibility?

• What are the financial arrangements in terms of commission that will be paid for your work?

• Are you restricted to a territory or is it open territory based on where the cruises go?

• Are there group discounts available and if so will that portion be added on to your own commission or should you have to pass on the commission to the client?

• Would you be required to work on targets and if so are you entitled to bonuses when you exceed your targets?

• What are the consequences if you don’t meet the targets? It’s always better to have options where you are not restricted to minimum targets but be rewarded with bonuses if you exceed targets.

• Last but not least' every organization has its perks for their employees and would you be entitled to cruises on specialized rates and are there any other staff benefits they would be willing to offer?

• Are there cost factors that you need to take into consideration and if so when you offset against the commission payable' will you know how much you can expect if you are able to sell the product? Would you be satisfied with the remuneration you make?

Cruise planning franchise is fun for stay at home moms and if marketed in the right environment' will certainly bring in financial stability to the home without having to leave your home to provide for the family.
