A. TMJ stands for Temporal Mandibular Joint: The pain joints and all surrounding structures, i.e.: muscles, ligament, bones, vessels etc.

A. Your jaw may lock, you may hear popping, clicking of the jaw joints and/or pain in your head (headaches), shoulders, neck and 1/3 the way down your back.

Q. What should you expect from a TMJ doctor?
A. In most cases the pain can be relieved by conservative means without surgery or orthodontics. Using only joint position And occlusal (bite) correction.

A. The results will vary by patient.
Q. Is TMJ/TMD covered by insurance?
A. This all depends on the insurance co. Some insurance companies will pay a portion. We try to work with a patient’s medical and dental insurance.
