I was working from home on my computer the other day, when my cat "Stinky" skittered out from behind my laptop. This is usually a normal occurrence, but shocking this time to say the least. His eyes were aglow with madness.

Taking care of Kids is not always easy, especially when one owns and operates a home business. In times of flue and sickness, we need to make the sacrifice, and when our offspring are too sick to travel to their educational parlay, we need to take care of them. And that in-turn goes for the chicken-sucking cat as well. Cats are cute, and so are children, but when they Morph into donkeys- look out. More trouble to handle or cater to than a train wreck.

Looking after sick kids while trying to succeed at business from home is like making a wrong turn at a four-mile junction on the expressway in heavy traffic. It can take a long time to correct, and the aggravation never stops. And Cats with no fear of Electricity can drive anyone over the edge. Especially with sharp teeth and claws that have no discern for rubberized electrical components with active wires. No remorse when the hair stands on end in an electrical state of shock and confusion.

So with my daughter still half ill and wanting, the cat half fried out of its mind and in need of a petting, I opted to take some time out for my family and myself. This was actually the deal in the first place. To work from home and have more time to deal with issues, or even just to work less and start smelling the roses. Enviable Eh!

I can almost forgive the cat for licking the sauce of the kid’s mini-ravioli because I do not eat that Skit. But when the cat gets into the well-prepared crispy skinned chicken, and makes a point of sucking on the skin, then that is a definite problem. Swinging it around by the tail is usually out of the question, especially with children present. But I may be inclined to put it in the freezer for 20 minutes, to make sure it understands why it needs to cohere to proper household functionality. Just kidding LOL. After all… this is a parody. But for some, maybe not!

Update

Life on Aero-farm (our property supported by hard work and ongoing business manoeuvres) is just plain fun for the most part, and we pull no punches when it comes to good times and fun as a natural way of life. Stinky and the kids are now back to their normal routine, and are fairing quite nicely. We all need to take a step back sometimes and relate to who we are, and how we function on a day-to-day basis. When the going gets tough, we need to find our inner support, and get professional.
