When did you start it? 9 years ago.
Why did you start it? Removing the chemicals and having a safer home for my family was one part. I am quite a quiet person so I never wanted to do the home parties where I had to stand up in front of a room and try to sell people something. That was just not me, with this business I just share information about our company and the product line and tell my story. We have a whole team who will help us present the information, and if people are busy we have a team site where we do the presentations live on the internet. And funny enough I am now one of those presentors. Our company is different to any company out there. We are not MLM, we are not distributors, we are not a party plan. I don't have to sell things, take orders, deliver anything, or collect money. So as a busy mom working full time and two pre-teen children involved in a lot of sports activities, I did not have to give up a lot of my time. And the compensation plan is the best in the industry allowing everyone the opportunity to earn income if they choose, but most people are just happy customers, but even lots of them get little cheques. But that is the best part when all those customers shop each month, every month for the rest of their lives because they love the products so much. We have that long term reliable residual income. And in a tough economy like we are having, people still need to brush, wash and clean their clothes. So these are necessity items not a luxury for people. So they are not spending any new money. Even if I was not getting a cheque from the company I would still be a customer as the products are life changing.
What was your inspiration? My inspiration was how it changed our family's health. I was able to stop using all the over the counter allergy medications and prescriptions that I had to be on. And my son was able to come off his two puffers that he was using. So I dediced that I need to educate others on how chemicals in their products that they are using are?harming their health and the environment.
How much capital in terms of resources did you invest to start up your business? With our company there really is no large start up cost. We are just like a Costco, a wholesale shopping club. To be a member it is just a one time $29.00 membership fee. If you want to start with trying a substantial amount of products to see if they work, you can purchase a pack that we have for $199.00. This has about three dozen of our most popular products to take for a test drive. But you never have to buy this if you don't want.

Who are your main customers? What demographic are they mostly from? Our products and services cater to all demographics. That is the great part about this, we have five brand catagories and everyone you know uses the types of products that we manufacture, except ours are better than anything in the marketplace. We have people from all walks of life, students, seniors, men, and women.
What do you feel are the basic goals that a business such as yours should reach in the first year? Well that is a personal choice, If you have only five hours a week, you can still make $1,000 or more a month. But if you are looking for more income, you might need to put some more hours in. You would let me know what your goals are and we would help you achieve them.
For anyone who wishes to start their own WAH business in the same industry as yours what are your top three pieces of advice? I would tell them to be coachable, be a team player and really research the compensation plan of that company. There are a lot of companies that have great products, but their comp plan does not allow every individual to make income. Most companies are MLM marketing. And it is really hard to make income. They just don't have the re-order rate and sometimes the cost of the products are very expensive.
Has this business venture allowed you to spend more time or less time with your family? Oh my gosh, it has given us so much time and freedom. In the very beginning we put some things on hold for a few months just to get started. It is like anything you have to give up something to get something. But it is so worth it in the end. Now with?aging parents and growing children, we are able to be there and not have to worry about going to a job everyday. When our kids were younger somedays we were the only parents at the 3:00 basketball games. All other parents were at their jobs and could not get there. We are so blessed that this business allows us time, freedom and residual income.
What are the top three marketing strategies that you employed to achieve success for your business? The best form of advertisment is word of mouth. That works the best in this business. If you are looking for more exposure, advertising on great sites like Bizymoms.com allows people to request information about working from home, and I get to help them achieve their goals.
What goals are next for your business? My next goal is to find at least five people that are really serious about changing their life and their family's health and the environment. Helping them to reach their goals with financial and time freedom.
Where do you see your business in another 10 years? The company's growth chart gets bigger every year and more great products, services and income for people.The fact that the products are necesity items people use every day and the are all natural and will help the evironment and peoples health, there is also a great need for extra income for any family and we have all these things so my business can only grow and I will have residual income and also get to will it to my children. This company gets better and better.

Our Ecosense Cleaning Products helps illiminate harmful chemicals which helps with allergies, asthma and other health issues. Our services help people to save money on long distance, travel, health insurance, and so many other services.

Inc 500 Hall of Fame, Blue Chip Enterprise Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau Torch Award, Circle of Humanitarians, Salvation Army's Highest National Award. In 2001 our president was given The Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Earnst & Young. We were given the Psychologically Heathly Workplace Award for its family friendly policies and programs.
How many times a year do you offer special discounts on your products or services? When? We have promotions every month; some months designed for the customer and sometimes designed for people who are doing the business to give them additional income.
