What kind of Business do you run? Online Baby Business
When did you start it? 2006
Why did you start it? I though I could create a better shopping experience for my customers. Shopping online become very impersonal and I wanted to create a personal experience for each one of my customers.
What was your inspiration? My children are my inspiration. I'm a mommy of 4 kids (2 boys and 2 girls) and they are my pride and joy! I started my business when I was 8 months pregnant with my 3rd child. I was shopping online and found how impersonal the shopping was. So with help from my husband, "Baby Fashion & Bedding" was born!

Who are your main customers? What demographic are they mostly from? My target audience is expectant moms, parents, grandparents, and family
and friends of expectant parents.
For anyone who wishes to start their own WAH business in the same industry as yours, what are your top 3 advice tips?
Start Small
Have unwavering Strength
And 3rdly have PATIENCE!
Has this business venture allowed you to spend more time or less time with your
family? I think in some ways I spend less time with my kids but in others more. The time
that I spend with them now, I'm more focused and I can play and have all eyes on
them. So my time is more of a quality time rather than pulling my hair out and
chasing my tail kind of time! This business allows me to have much needed mommy
time - time that all mommies need!!
What are the top three marketing strategies that you employed to achieve success for
your business? Blogs, Social Marketing and Community Sites
What goals are next for your business? My goal is for me to expand the business so it can afford to buy or rent a warehouse. So I can keep the inventory there and not in my house!
Where do you see your business in another 10 years? I like to think Big! My husband runs a family based business and that is one thing he has taught me to think big and go and make your goal happen! So I would like to see the warehouse bought. My daughter getting old enough to help run it or run a business of her own. Own and operate a retail store and employ several employees.

Cribs are my top selling item. Cribs are something that every expectant parent NEEDS! Strollers are my second top selling item. My most popular brand is Quinny and this is more of a luxury type of stroller. With Quinny there are many great benefits stroller. Simply too many to list! Car Seats are my third top selling item. At Baby Fashion & Bedding I pride myself in ONLY carrying the brands I find suitable enough for my own kids! Car seats are very important to a child safety so I require a very high standard of car seats in my store.
How many times a year do you offer special discounts on your products or services?
When? We offer $50 OFF Glenna Jean baby bedding on Black Friday. On Mother's Day and Father's Day we have special promotions on great gifts for mom and dad. And, we also started something new! We started offering a GRAB-IT Day. At Baby Fashion & Bedding we offer a Hot Baby Bargains Grab-It Day Sale. The Grab-It Day sale lasts for 5 hours only and the mystery product is marked down up to 75% OFF the normal pricing. Those days happen 2 times a month with the selected product always
