What kind of Business do you run? I sell wellness products through on online
catalogue.
When did you start it? I started my business in December of 2008. The company I work with has been in
business for over 20 yesars.
Why did you start it? I started selling these products because my oldest daughter is allergic to bleach.
All of the cleaning products are non-caustic and all natural. All of the products
are all natural.
What was your inspiration? These products are safe for my family and they are environmentally safe. There is
very little finances going out on my part. There is no inventory or \'parties'.
How much capital in terms of resources did you invest to start up your business? There is very little personal financial out put. To start this business it costs

Who are your main customers? What demographic are they mostly from? My customers are anyone who wants to have a safer home and be more environmentally
responsible. They will also save money and have products delivered directly to
their homes.
What do you feel are the basic goals that a business such as yours should reach in
the first year? Introducing individuals to safer, more effective products that really do what they
are meant to do. Educating people to what is put in products on the selves at the
store that are very harmful to our families and our enviroment.

1. Have a passion for safer products for your family.
2. Be willing to step out of your comfort zone to speak up for our environment and
helping to protect it.
3. Being a self starter with guidance and hlep along the way from others in your
area selling these products.
Has this business venture allowed you to spend more time or less time with your
family? Yes, this has allowed me to stay home with my children and help with household
income.
What are the top three marketing strategies that you employed to achieve success for
your business?
1. Tell everyone you know about the products.
2. Use the products yourself.
3. Go the extra mile and help new customers put in their first order. Make your
self available to help.
What goals are next for your business? To have a new line of customer (8 active workers) building their own customer lines.
Where do you see your business in another 10 years? In this business the skies the limit.

1. Cleaning products - they are safe for your home (no abrasives, fillers,
phosphates, ammonia, and formaldehyde)
2. Natural first aid - complete first aid products, all products are natural (made

3. Vitality for Life - numerous vitamins and supplements of all kinds.

organization? If so please state how you were chosen and what kind of recognition
your business has achieved. Yes, the founder Frank L. VanderSloot was inducted into Entrepreneur of the Year
Hall of Fame by CNN, USA Today, and Ernst and Young in 2002. In 2006 the company
recieved the \"Circle of Humanitarians\" award by the Red Cross.
How many times a year do you offer special discounts on your products or services?
When? : The company when a customer signs up recieves 30 - 40% of all products everytime
an order is placed.
