What kind of Business do you run? Avon, which sells cosmetics, jewelry, bath products, children's items, clothing, and accessories.
When did you start it? I started it Oct. 9. 2009
Why did you start it? I have been a customer for many years and am now sharing the products and opportunities with others.
What was your inspiration? Other than the fantastic products, Avon is a great supporter of breast cancer.
How much capital in terms of resources did you invest to start up your business? $10.00

Who are your main customers? What demographic are they mostly from? I have friends locally as well as from other states, so my customers are endless.
What do you feel are the basic goals that a business such as yours should reach in the first year? The basic goals vary from person to person, but mine are having my own business and highly exceeding the salary of my present job.
For anyone who wishes to start their own WAH business in the same industry as yours what are your top 3 advice tips?
1. Try the products first.
2. Tell everyone that you know that you are starting a business (network).
3. Stay focused and recruit others, your downline will help you obtain your goal.
Has this business venture allowed you to spend more time or less time with your family? This business has allowed me to share the business with my family as well as allow me to spend more time with my family.
What are the top three marketing strategies that you employed to achieve success for
your business?
1. Buy books in bulk and drop LOTS of ‘em!!! Remember… There are no longer “areas” in Avon. You can’t step on another agent’s territory, although, some will try to tell you that. Watch that you don’t drop in areas that do not allow soliciting. It will usually say on the front of the subdivision.
2. Even though the entire world is online now – I have found that a lot of Avon customers like the one on one and want to see you in person. 3. Buy cheapie things from the clearance book and use them as free gifts for orders over 25.00, repeat orders, and NEW CUSTOMERS or NEW RECRUITS!
What goals are next for your business? My next goals are recruiting more customers that are going to be serious about starting their own business.
Where do you see your business in another 10 years? I see my business as the top seller/recruiter in Avon.
