What it is like to live in a hotel
There are advantages and disadvantages in living in a hotel. Living in a hotel is somewhat very practical as you do not have to take care of house maintenance or house keeping. Even in a home if the affordability is there, one can find domestic aides to dust and clean the house but then it becomes the house owners responsibility to supervise their work. In a hotel you don't have to worry about checking and supervising when all that is taken care of by the hotel staff.

Even when it comes to maintenance of a house, one does not have to worry about the windows that need repair or the taps that need replacement nor worry whom you should get to attend to these things. In a hotel all you need to do is to inform the relevant department and it is almost instantly attended to.

If you are running your own home there is endless trips to buy groceries and plan and cook your meals. You may not be a gourmet cook and may not be able to prepare everything you like the way that you like nor spend time cooking and cleaning your kitchen nor wash and dry the plates and utensils. Whenever you need a snack or a drink one call and room service will provide all that and more.

When living in a hotel, having your clothes washed is not a chore but just a call to the house keeping department and it is taken care of and it is the same even to press your clothes. You don't have to do anything physically.

If required, your hotel room will also be your mini office as it will be equipped with fax, printer, scanner and private telephone number. If you have a official meeting or doing a interview all you have to do is use one of the private rooms of the hotel rather than rush through the traffic to head to public location.

You can live in a hotel without your personal space being invaded. The concierge service will shop for you or arrange a hair stylist for you. If you need secretarial services all you have to do is pick up the phone and speak to the business centre and next to no time it will be done. If a nanny is required they will take care of it.

Entertaining your friends does not require planning and cooking but just to walk to the restaurant of your choice.

The hotel becomes mindful about your personal needs and will know how you want your food cooked to the way you want your coffee made. In most part it is a win win situation to live in a hotel, except that you don't have the luxury of having your own garden.
