(Please note that this is in no particular order)
1. 6 Columbus, NYC, USA
The latest addition to the Thompson Hotel group, 6 Columbus is situated opposite Central Park. It boasts a cross between the 60s and the 21st century, and has 88 rooms pre - loaded with some awesome features. Perfect for the hip and savvy travelers.
2. The Louise Peppers, Barossa Valley, Australia
One of the few places where guest privacy is of utmost concern to the management, there are acres of vineyards surrounding The Louise Peppers. Suites inspire in you the feeling that you're living in some exotic place. Also home to a meticulously developed wine cellar.
3. COMO Shambhala Estate @ Begawan Giri, Bali, Indonesia
Among everyones' faves, I don't think that there's been anyone who has found it hard to unwind and find spiritual peace over here. Bali may have a rep for crowded beaches, but this is anything but. The spa facilities is the closest you can come to heaven on earth!
4. Adara Hotel, British Columbia, Canada
Whistler's first designer boutique hotel, this one has only 41 suites and has an emphasis on British Columbian design in rustic mountains. There are too many good facilities which I won't be able to list, but do check them out!
5. One Aldwych, London, England What would you mean by 'hip hotel'? One Aldwych fits the description. Situated in a plush Edwardian building, it is warm, stylish and posh in every way, from design to service. Small doesn't matter, as the extras will tell you!
6. Portrait Suites, Rome, Italy Near to the best shopping areas, it only has 14 suites, and is an awesome elegant Italian-style town house. Has a lot of privacy and discretion, and is not short in facilities. Each suite is like a private apartment. The hotel is named after the pictures that are lined up of the many starts that have patronized this hotel
7. Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort, Ireland
If you asked me for suggestions on boutique hotels, I wouldn't be quivering to recommend a 19th - century gothic manor house (which has 75 fireplaces and 365 leaded glass windows) situated on 840 acres. Yet, it is precisely this that really brings about a feeling of warmth here. There isn't a thing you can't do without feeling a sense of calm and quiet!
8. Hotel Azucar, Veracruz, Mexico This hotel is named after the sugar cane grown in Veracruz and includes 20 bleached sugar - white bungalows and thatched palpa roofs. The whole ambience makes you feel really light, tempting you to wear some loose clothing, put on some loose slippers and spend the time lazily in a hammock, which gives you a beautiful view
