How to Apply Mascara |
|
Applying eye make-up tends to be one of the difficult procedures when trying to do a make up. Mascara is one such important part that completes the face but we all find difficult to do.
We have our own individual way of applying make-up but professionals say that there are some basic steps that can be followed to give your eyes the right emphasis it needs.
Step 1 is of course, knowing what type of mascara you want. Depending on the occasion and your taste you can choose from thickening, lengthening, long wearing and water proof formulas, among many in the market.
Once you have decided the type of mascara, next step is to choose the color. This can be based on your eye lash color as well as your skin color so that the color you choose can compliment the rest of the make-up.
Before you start applying mascara, you should apply all other eye make-up and apply mascara last. An eyelash curler can be used to curl your lashes if preferred.
When opening the mascara tube for applying make sure to do so in one pull as you need to avoid air entering into the tube which can potentially dry out the formula and introduce bacteria into it.
Ok, now we’re ready to apply the mascara.
Simply start applying underneath your upper lashes, moving upwards slowly towards the tip of the lashes. Remember to hold the wand parallel to your eyelids. Allow the first coat of mascara to dry before applying the second coat. Once it is completed, you can remove excess mascara by blotting the lashes with a tissue. You can use an eyelash comb to separate the lashes.
When applying mascara to the lower lashes, make sure you use less mascara on the wand.
Begin from where the eyelashes meet the rim of the lower eyelid and gently work your way downwards.
Once it is completed, you can remove any excessive mascara around the eye with a small cotton ball slightly dipped with eye makeup remover.
Now you’re done and ready to go dazzle your company with your new look!!! |
