Tips for Damaged Hair Care |
|
Hair goes through many processes during a day be it styling, coloring or even natural causes such as sun and heat. The chances of avoiding any or all of these are not quite practical for today’s women, so it is good to learn ways of taking care of your hair.
Hair damage is caused every time we iron, blow dry, curl or heat our hair and chemicals used when you relax, perm or even color can add to this damage. Some times even the equipment used for these can cause damage to our hair.
Following some simple tips can help make a big difference in preventing your hair from all these damages.
Experts say that it is advisable to use a ‘thermal protector’ whenever using heat.
Also, try not to blow dry your hairs completely dry as this will reduce the moistness of your skull. Instead leave a little moisture in.
Another way of preventing hair damage is by using conditioner with UV protectors built in. This is extremely important if you spend long hours outdoors in the sun.
A simple rule to follow after you wash your hair is to use a wide toothed comb instead of a brush. Brushes can break your hair easily when its damp and all you would want to do is to make sure your hair is not entangled after a wash, which can be done effectively with a comb.
On dry hair start brushing your hair ends first and then work your way up so that you put less pressure on your roots to tackle the entangled hair.
Try to avoid blow drying your hair on ‘high heat’ modes, instead choose ‘cool’ setting.
All of the above are few quick fixes you can give to help prevent damaged hair but remember to maintain beautiful healthy hair it is important that you take in the right nutrients and give your body enough exercise as with the rest of our body. |
