Bartlesville Festivals Events And Attractions
The Price Tower is one of the biggest attractions of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. It had been designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and is the only skyscraper designed by him that had actually been built. The Price Tower is also only one of two vertically-oriented Wright structures extant (the other being the S.C. Johnson Wax Research Tower in Racine, Wisconsin). The Price Tower had been commissioned by Harold C. Price, who belonged to the H. C. Price Company, which is a chemical and local oil pipeline firm. It was opened in 1956 in February. |
