It is great to see you in the Baltimore TV forum after an eventful weekend. It was eventful for me to watching the MTV Video Music Awards show, and I almost cried watching the poignant tribute to Michael Jackson. But things got noisy and moving when Kanye West stole the audience’s attention. I am happy that Taylor Swift walked away with the award for the best female video for “Single Ladies.” How about you? Do you think Beyonce deserved it? Did Kanye West really have to make that awful comment? Even Beyonce looked shocked. What do you think of Madonna’s speech about Michael Jackson? I think it was very touching. The VMA awards wouldn’t have been complete without the bizarre appearance of Lady Gaga who came out wearing a gold mask accompanied by Kermit the Frog.
It was sad to hear about the death of Larry Gelbart. He was the writer who made “MASH” a TV hit. He died at the age of 81 after battling cancer for years. I should mention that he was a gifted director and a brilliant writer. Moms, share your opinion with others about the programs you enjoyed on Baltimore TV during the weekend.
