An Interview with Dr.Jim Craig on Invisalign.
Dr. Jim Craig is a dentist and has answered some common questions that Bizymoms visitors have about Invisalign.

Q.  What is an Invisalign?

A.  Invisalign is a way to straighten teeth without using braces. They are virtually invisible, contain no wires or metal, and are much more comfortable to use than braces. Most cases can finish in 6 to 12 months.

Q.  How does Invisalign work?

A.  Invisalign works by using a series of clear "aligners" which straighten teeth gradually and consistently without using braces and without wires.

Q.  what are the primary benefits of Invisalign?

A.  The primary benefits of Invisalign are that it can be removed for brushing and flossing and for eating.  Most patients who wear braces complain that they cut the inside of the mouth and that they are very painful.  Invisalign eliminates most of the pain associated with moving teeth and will not cut the inside of your mouth.  Invisalign can be taken out during brushing and flossing, and may also be taken out for eating.  This makes it much easier to keep your teeth clean, and is much more comfortable to wear.

Q.  How long does Invisalign treatment take?

A.  It depends on how much movement is required.  Most cases can be completed in 6-12 months.

Q.  How much does Invisalign cost?

A.  The price for an Invisalign case varies from patient to patient depending on how much movement is required.  Most Invisalign cases run from $3,000-$4,500.

Q.  Who uses Invisalign?

A.  Any patient who would like straighter, more even teeth is a candidate for a discussion about Invisalign.  Not every dentist is certified to use Invisalign, and even among dentists who are certified to use Invisalign, not all Invisalign providers have an equal amount of experience.

Q.  Are there certain dental conditions that automatically exclude someone from being an eligible patient?

A.  Not necessarily, although individual patient differences exist, and it’s difficult to give criteria for exactly who is and who is not a good candidate. A lot of this will also be determined by the comfort level and experience of the dentist.

Q.  How can we contact Dr. Jim Craig if we have further questions?

A.  303-693-1215 or visit us online at www.summerbrookdental.com or for more information about Invisalign specifically, visit http://summerbrookdental.com/invisalign.php.
